How to build up the individual programme – and the programme series
Based on the above presentation of the components of a synopsis, your main assignment in this Module 5 is to at first develop the synopsis for your full programme series.
A worksheet with a Synopsis format to fill in, is available in the list of items available for Module 5
Once this is in place, you should develop one synopsis for each of the first, say, eight productions in your new series. Doing this, helps you:
When planning the individual programmes, you see whether you wish to include in the programmes – besides from your community-member ‘expert on consequences’, also - ‘experts’ on public health issues. This is important to indicate so that you can including this in the work plan.
Being ready to go on air: what is missing?
At this point you need to identify who in your editorial team / collective will be the overall responsible, driving force. This may considered counter-intuitive in a participatory processes, it is, however, important. Not for the person to be the big boss, but to have one person staying on top of the work plan implementation.
Good luck!
